  • Representation of numerous clients in obtaining environmental liability insurance in connection with transactions where delays would endanger the transaction.
  • Represented a Fortune 500 company in the defense of a suit by a large number of neighboring residents alleging serious personal injury and property damage claims from exposure to toxic substances.
  • Representation of manufacturing and industrial clients in connection with obtaining of necessary discharge and other environmental permits needed to support their manufacturing/industrial operations.
  • Represented dozens of sellers and buyers of real estate and lenders and borrowers in connection with evaluating and negotiating environmental risk allocations relating to real estate transactions and/or mortgage lending transactions.
  • Represented clients in connection with extensive cleanups of facilities being acquired for redevelopment, and successfully obtained compliance certificates or their equivalents from state and federal governmental bodies prior to the acquisitions and redevelopment.
