Bonnie Hungerford is an El Paso labor and employment lawyer and litigator who has represented employers in all aspects of employment law, from daily advising and training to employment litigation. Ms. Hungerford has represented employers in matters involving claims of race, age, religion, national origin, and disability discrimination; sexual harassment; workers' compensation retaliation; wrongful discharge; and retaliation. She also provides preventive advising and training to Texas and New Mexico employers on a wide rage of employment matters, including preparation of employee manuals and policies, advice on wage and hour issues, and Form I-9 compliance audits.
Ms. Hungerford received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso. Ms. Hungerford then attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence with a concentration in Labor and Employment Law. Ms. Hungerford also received her Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the esteemed Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. As a Masters student, Ms. Hungerford worked for a Fortune 1000 corporation in the area of executive compensation and benefits.
Ms. Hungerford was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2009 and the State Bar of New Mexico in 2010. She is a member of the El Paso Bar Association, El Paso Women's Bar Association, and El Paso Young Lawyers Association. In the human resources field, Ms. Hungerford is a member of the national, El Paso, and Southern New Mexico chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. Ms. Hungerford is also a graduate of the UTEP Law School Preparation Institute.
