Desiree Duarte is an associate attorney at ScottHulse whose practice focuses on litigation and general labor and employment law.
Ms. Duarte earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin with Pro Bono Honors. She was a member of the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy, a board member for the Chicano/Hispanic Law Student Association, and a scholar in the Criminal Defense Clinic and Actual Innocence Clinic. While in law school, Ms. Duarte clerked for the Honorable Miguel Torres at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Born and raised in El Paso, Ms. Duarte earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in Legal Reasoning, from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also a graduate of the UTEP Law School Preparation Institute. During her undergraduate studies, she interned for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and was a congressional intern for the Office of Congressman Beto O’Rourke.
