His practice also includes bankruptcy, appeals, construction law, and education law. He is licensed to practice law in both Texas and New Mexico.
As a member of ScottHulse’s Creditors’ Rights, Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group, Jimmy has advised and represented creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings in Texas and New Mexico. He has also assisted in the defense of preference, fraudulent transfer, and automatic stay violation claims, and the prosecution of complaints for exception to discharge, motions for relief from stay, motions for adequate protection, and plan objections.
As a commercial litigator, Jimmy has successfully first-chaired two jury trials and one bench-trial. In addition, Jimmy has obtained numerous summary judgement victories on behalf of one of his more active collections clients.
As a member of ScottHulse’s Labor and Employment practice group, Jimmy has advised employers regarding employment policies and handbooks, non-compete agreements, and avoiding potential employment discrimination claims. Jimmy has litigated workers’ compensation disputes, unemployment wage disputes, and discrimination claims in state court and arbitration. Jimmy has also participated in I-9 and FLSA audits by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Born and raised in El Paso, Jimmy Feuille earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas Review of Law and Politics, as well as an Articles and Notes Editor for the Texas International Law Journal. While in law school, Jimmy was awarded the Dean’s Achievement Award for Mass Media Law. He also interned with Judge Charles Holcomb of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and clerked for the Office of the Solicitor General of Texas.
Jimmy is a graduate of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership El Paso Class XXXVII. He serves on the board of directors for Junior Leadership El Paso and on the Curriculum Committee for Leadership El Paso Class XXXVIII. Additionally, Jimmy is a graduate of the 2016 Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC) Trial Academy.
Jimmy is a member of the El Paso Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the El Paso Young Lawyers Association.
