A native El Pasoan, Ricardo E. Vielledent attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 2007.
Mr. Vielledent earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at Emory University School of Law in 2010. While at Emory University School of Law, he successfully completed the Transactional Law Certificate Program. Mr. Vielledent was also a member of the Latin American Law Students Association.
Mr. Vielledent was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2010. He is a member of the El Paso Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association, and El Paso Young Lawyers Association. His practice encompasses labor and employment litigation and counseling on behalf of employers, with emphasis on discrimination matters. Mr. Vielledent also has experience in defending claims of retaliation; discrimination, including race, age, gender and disability discrimination. Mr. Vielledent has also counseled employers regarding employee handbook policies, wage and hour compliance, hiring, disciplining and firing employees, and reductions in force. In addition, Mr. Vielledent has defended numerous EEOC Charges based on retaliation and discrimination. Mr. Vielledent’s practice also encompasses general business litigation, including claims of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and negligence among others. Finally, Mr. Vielledent has some experience in bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and general corporate transactional practice.
