Ms. Snook's primary practice area is estate planning and probate. She also handles heirship proceedings and guardianships in both Texas and New Mexico. She learned the importance of advance healthcare directives and medical powers of attorney while interning with the Ethics Service at the world-renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, during law school.
Ms. Snook was also well-prepared to contribute to ScottHulse's healthcare law practice when she joined the firm in 2007. During law school at the University of Houston, she completed an internship at the Harris County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Authority. One of Ms. Snook's areas of focus is advising healthcare practitioners on compliance with self-referral (Stark) and anti-kickback statutes. Ms. Snook is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. While in law school, Ms. Snook also interned with the First Court of Appeals of Texas, and served as an attorney ad litem through the Juvenile Law Clinic. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a paralegal at a Houston employment law firm. Ms. Snook is an active member of the El Paso Women's Bar Association, and served as the Secretary for 2008-2009. A former oboist in the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Snook is currently a member of the El Paso Wind Symphony. She is married to Dave Snook, a member of the El Paso education community. They have one child, Sadie, who was born in 2007. |
