Kimberly Barnes is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on corporate law and real estate.
Prior to joining ScottHulse, Ms. Barnes was a transactional attorney who worked with small businesses on a broad range of corporate matters including trademark infringement, contract claims, non-profit regulations, entity formation, and general corporate governance. She also worked as a transactional corporate attorney for a real estate and corporate investment firm where she specialized in the formation of investment partnerships, asset acquisition, lender agreements, stock conversions, and other contractual matters.
Ms. Barnes earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Witkin Award of Academic Excellence in Mediation by Thomson Reuters. She also served as Chief Legislation Editor and staff writer for the University of the Pacific Law Review. While in law school, she clerked for two California law firms, both specializing in civil litigation.
Ms. Barnes earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a concentration in ethics, politics, and law from California State University in Sacramento.
