Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment

ScottHulse PC is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney.

This is an opportunity to be an integral member of one of the region’s leading labor and employment practice teams, which provides a full spectrum of L&E legal and advisory services to local, regional, and national employers in both the public and private sectors. Key areas of our comprehensive representation and service include preventive advice and training; regulatory compliance matters; litigation; alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration; organized labor issues; and changes in ownership and reductions in workforce, to name a few.

L&E associates work directly with the Chair of the practice group, who is also a member of the Firm’s board. The associate who is hired for this position will be immediately challenged and rewarded with high-level work for sophisticated clients, as well as an accelerated learning track with immediate hands-on client contact. The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with strong writing skills and experience with legal research, analysis and drafting of complex memoranda, correspondence, motions, and briefs in the context of employment disputes. The ideal candidate will also have some litigation experience and an interest to serve regional, national, and global employers.

Outstanding academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Texas Bar required; New Mexico Bar a plus. A federal district court or circuit court of appeals clerkship is also a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and ties to El Paso are desirable.
