EL PASO, TX – ScottHulse attorney and shareholder, Melissa Baeza, has announced her judicial candidacy for El Paso’s County Court at Law #3. Baeza is an experienced trial attorney and has represented individuals and businesses as plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court over her twelve years of practice. As such, she understands the challenges on both sides of a dispute.
“As a litigator, I have always appreciated the professionalism exhibited by opposing counsel and the Court. As a Judge, professionalism and respect for all parties and counsel will be of importance, and I will rely on my strong work ethic to handle the large caseload of civil cases assigned to the Court.”
Baeza is a proud and active member of the El Paso community. She is the President-Elect of the El Paso Women’s Bar Association and a former board member of the El Paso Bar Association and El Paso Young Lawyers Association. She was a participant in Leadership El Paso and is a current member of Progress321, the El Paso Chapter #248 of the National Association of Women in Construction, and other organizations.
“Growing up in El Paso, I have always been mindful of giving back to my community. Whether as a substitute teacher, an intern that supports refugees or helping with PTA, I believe that public service is a noble calling, and my experience has prepared me to serve as Judge of County Court at Law #3.”
She graduated from Montwood High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Mary’s University. She received her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. She is married to Raymond and has two energetic boys.
Melissa Baeza’s campaign kickoff and fundraiser will begin at 5:00 p.m. on October 21, 2021 in the courtyard of the Reyes & Reyes Law Firm. For more information, visit www.MelissaBaeza.com.
