EL PASO, TX – Attorneys Francisco J. Ortega and Henry J. Paoli, shareholders of the ScottHulse law firm, were featured speakers at the recent El Paso Probate Bar Association meeting.
Mr. Ortega and Mr. Paoli spoke on the topic “Unique Issues Involving Appeals of Probate Court Orders.” The presentation included information on types of appeals that are unique to the probate process.
“Appeals in probate are relatively rare but they do occur and it is important to understand how the intricacies of the probate process intersect with the appeals process,” said Mr. Paoli. “Our hope is that, by sharing our experience with probate appeals, we contribute to the body of knowledge regarding these unique issues.”
Both Ortega and Paoli handle appeals at the state and federal levels. Mr. Ortega is a former briefing attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas. Additionally, Mr. Paoli is board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
